beach along the Tarn River (level, separated and
shady pitches, some of them alongside the river).

for many walks and drives through the gorges and

wild fauna and flora, or practising outdoor
activities directly in the campsite or in the
surroundings : bathing, canoeing, cycling, horse
riding, fishing, walking in the trees, climbing,

Saint Pal
is ideally situated on the approach road to the Gorges
du Tarn and aimed at those who prefer peace and quiet
and less in the way of organised activity. Beside the
Tarn river, the site is arranged in the open valley and
is fairly flat. There are 74 large, level, grassy
pitches, with 59 for touring. Separated by hedging, most
are shaded by mature trees .Some pitches are alongside
the attractive river. This is a wonderful area for
touring, cycling, mountain biking, flowers and birds of
prey. Activities such as canoeing, rafting, caving,
walking in the trees, rock climbing and bungee jumping
are possible.There is a lot to see and do in this area
including the new Millau viaduct, designed by Norman
Foster and the Observatory for Vultures at Gorges de la
Jonte. |
